Risk level interpretation and recommendations.
Risk levels
AllerShield uses a 4-level risk system to present pollen allergen concentrations. Each level corresponds to a concentration range measured in grains per cubic meter of air (grains/m³).
Low
Minimal risk for allergy sufferers
Medium
Moderate risk – caution for sensitive people
High
High risk – reducing outdoor exposure is recommended
Very high
Extremely high risk – stay indoors
Recommendations for allergy sufferers
Low (0–14 grains/m³)
- •You can stay outdoors normally
- •No special precautions needed
- •Follow daily forecast updates
Medium (15–49 grains/m³)
- •Sensitive people may notice symptoms
- •Wear sunglasses outdoors
- •Consult your doctor if symptoms persist
High (50–199 grains/m³)
- •Limit time spent outdoors
- •Use an FFP2 mask outside
- •Ventilate home in early morning or evening
- •Take prescribed therapy regularly
Very high (≥200 grains/m³)
- •Stay indoors when possible
- •Use a HEPA air purifier
- •Wash hair and face after returning home
- •Contact your doctor in case of severe symptoms
Methodology
Pollen level thresholds are based on European expert guidance and allergy society recommendations. Concentrations are expressed in grains per cubic meter of air (grains/m³).
